Hofsós - one of Iceland’s oldest trading centers. Pakkhúsið, the renovated warehouse from 1777 now functions as the Icelandic Emigration Center (Vesturfarasetrið), with exhibits documenting the many emmigrations of Icelanders to North America around the late 1800's.
