Text on back of card: Reykholt in Borgarfjörður - the historical homestead of Snorri Sturluson (1178-1241) one of Iceland´s greatest authors and historians. The geothermal pool and part of the tunnel connecting it to Snorri´s house have been preserved. Reykholtskirkja church was built in 1988 and consecrated July 28,1996(architect: Garðar Halldórsson).
