Brennisteinsalda ('sulphur wave') volcano is probably the most colorful mountain in Iceland due to its rhyolite composition, sulphur spots and other geological elements. The volcano still exudes steam and vapour. 'Bláhnjúkur or “Blue Peak' mountain can be seen in the background.
