Security
The creditcard details are handled by Globecharge. Your personal information (not only credit card details, but also your name, address, etc.) is scrambled using the latest SSL technology. This information is sent to a Secure Server that in turn sends us this information scrambled, using a 1024 bit PGP key. Furthermore, we will not store your credit card information any longer than we need to. We will destroy this information as soon as we have finalized the credit card transaction.Privacy
Your personal details are stored in a scrambled format in our computers. We also keep a mailing list of all our web customers. Whenever we update our shop (about twice a year) we send out e-mails to our customers to let them know and to draw attention to some interesting new items we have added. We will under no circumstances give this mailing list to another company, and it is only used for the above stated purpose. If you do not wish to be on this list, please let us know in the "your message to us", which can be filled out at the time of check out.
Payment methods
We accept the following major credit cards: Visa, Eurocard and Mastercard. If you are not comfortable with
submitting credit card information (please see Security
information) you can also print out the order and fax it to us. You could
then either send us a certified cheque, or make a direct deposit to our
account. Please contact us for information on how to make a direct
transfer to our account.Availability
From time to time some of our popular items may be out of stock. We will not always be in a position to indicate this in our online shop. If what you have ordered is not available we will let you know by e-mail. If we do not receive any contrary instructions from you within 2 working days we will proceed with your order, leaving out the item/items, which were out of stock.Credit card charge
All the prices in this shop are in USD. Our invoice will also be in USD. However, when we charge your credit card it will be in Icelandic Kronar, calculated at the current exchange rate of the ISK vs. the USD. By the time your credit card is charged any fluctuation of the Icelandic currency will affect what you will actually be charged.The currency calculator
This nice feature will give you a very good idea of what our prices are in your local currency. Just click on the "Select your currency" text in the upper left corner of your screen to activate this feature and select the currency you prefer. We cannot be held responsible for any errors in the currency calculator. Your order will always be calculated and charged based on the USD.Delivery time
We will be able to send off your order in about one working day after we receive it. If for some reason we cannot accomplish this we will let you know by e-mail.Discounts
We offer quantity discounts on your purchases as
follows: USD 50-100= 5%, USD 100-250=10% and USD 250 and above= 15%.
These discounts are automatically calculated and applied to your order at
the time of checkout.
Shipping
At the time of checkout, you will be offered 2
methods of shipping: Airmail and Express service. The order total
will automatically be updated based on your shipping choice. It is
difficult to predict this cost accurately, especially on small orders. If
you feel that the shipping cost is unusually high you can
contact us so that we can verify the
actual cost. Under no circumstance will we charge more then our online
store calculates.
Shipping time
Shipping time will vary depending on method of shipping and your location. To countries in Europe and Scandinavia you may expect about 3-5 days for airmail and 1-2 days for express service. To America, you should allow about 1-2 weeks for airmail and 2-4 days for express service (We have in the past also offered surface mail. It is our conclusion not to offer this method of shipping as it offers very little savings over airmail at a greatly increased time of delivery - sometimes more than 8 weeks to America).Return policy - complaints
If you are not satisfied with your purchase you may return it within 14 days to Sólarfilma, for a full refund. You will, however, have to pay for the shipping back to us. You will be refunded on receipt of the merchandise.
